I think the OP's point was, "Why does she get to carry an imitation firearm when a guy that looks like me and actually has experience with firearms would be proned out on the concrete about twenty seconds after stepping out of my house for doing the same thing".

Hit point was basically how arbitrarily California's convoluted laws are enforced.

Maybe I could wear a police outfit to a non-halloween costume party, get pulled over on the way, and not get cited...but I bet if they saw the NRA sticker on my car in the same situation I would be taking the ride...

    That is his point.

Unless that isn't his point, then I really have no idea what his point is haha.

Does anyone know the story of Theus (sp) the open carry guy ? He was charged for carrying an unloaded gun like 900 something feet from a school. The police charged him anyway saying the law is the law. No one in the media or general public ever supported this guy.

Maybe it takes arresting a person like this girl to get mainstream attention about how stupid California laws are and how they turn good honest people into criminals.

I got a good laugh out of this.

There are much more important things to argue about than someone that doesn't want to cause any harm, and isn't causing any harm.

        Loosen up.

I am not suggesting that people break the law. I imagine that she is completely ignorant of the law. My comment was more about the fact that in your other thread you admit to breaking the law by cheating on your taxes.

This thread is so ironic... you are a crook and you want to turn in this girl for wearing an imitation firearm.

Sounds like a great idea! Go get yourself arrested and we'll make sure to make a martyr out of you!

maybe something like a poor girl at a beach volleyball tournament getting locked up would shed some light to the average person about how unjust our gun laws are.
It's not your perrogative to decide to make her a martyr for our cause. If you want to be a martyr, fine. Strap on an imitation firearm and call the cops on yourself or arrange for someone else to call them on you. Leave the lady out of it, collateral damage isn't cool.

Many laws are idiotic. While I certainly believe in equal application of the law for everyone, and while I personally follow the law as closely as I can, I sure as hell am not going to call the cops on an otherwise law-abiding person who carries a gun or smokes a joint.

You're a screwy guy. You seem to believe that expanding gun ownership into communities where gun ownership is not traditional will do nothing for gun rights, but arresting some innocent chick at a beach volleyball match will help gun rights.

That would be Theseus, he was on private property 900 or so feet from the school. The law makes exemption for private property. The case gets so much attention on Calguns as he was unfairly charged.

Just curious, would you prefer someone notify you of a law you unknowingly broke, so you can respond to that infraction, or called the cops, who may arrest and charge you? I'd prefer the former myself.

The answer is sexism. Women get a pass at every point in the criminal justice system.
