It is with the grenade launcher attached to it.
The original muzzle device on the Zastava Model 59/66 is considered to be a grenade launcher, therefore it is a DD under CA laws.
The CA legal ones, either have the grenade launcher replaced with a muzzle brake or the grenade launcher rendered inoperable due to a metal sleeve welded over it.

I'm sorry. You are correct. I often forget Albanian, North Korean and East German SKS because they are so rare and expensive in the United States.
      Good info though.

Read Quiet's post. He is correct.
The "grenade launcher" (grenades are already illegal...so it is really a hollow tennis ball launcher) is a DD in California.

        Awesome!
I think what's even more awesome is that they were built by communists who had the express idea that they'd be used to crush our freedoms in the future - yet in the future they were instrumental in saving them. Living well is the best revenge.

That is great. I never thought of that.

I wrote a paper on a similar theme. The communists were responsible for Chernobyl, yet there are a few people live in the exclusion zone today and live off the land and each other. They own the means to productions and reap all the benefits. They are the government and the people. They are pretty much an ideal model for Marxism. Ironically, the meltdown caused by the communist industrial machine produced a small society that has achieved what no communist country in history could.

Yes, I was aware of that, I just forgot to mention it. Thanks for helping to clear that up.
