UOCer sues over Cerritos Mall Incident

Heard from a friend that Macerich company was sued by a UOCer that was asked to leave the mall. Macerich didn't want to go to court, so they paid the guy and the case was dismissed.

Methinks he was suing for being "detained" by Mall Security.

Rumor (only a rumor) is that this guy targets malls for this reason.

If I get any more details...I'll update...

I'm not taking sides on this issue. This, like the other threads, is for informational purposes.

If this is the case I'd say he has an interesting approach to using a firearm in extorting businesses. The Gambino's would be so proud.

I'm trying to get more info from my source. He is lower echelon, so he may be limited to what he knows or can tell me.

I know the malls (Lakewood, Stonewood, and Cerritos) keep each other updated on whats going on at their property. There are also company memos that go out. Lakewood and Cerritos usually have a Deputy doing OT, so that they have pretty fast backup. A deputy may have been involved as well.

If this guy has been going to other Macerich malls...it would go in an email to everyone.

Going about that sort of thing repetetively or as a way to make a living is one way to come to the negative attention of the court. Just ask Jarek Molski.

Well, the Wikipedia article on Molski indicates that his DEFENSE ATTORNEY alone made over $10,000,000 on the cases that were filed.

So, uh, who gives a crap if he was eventually barred from filing more cases, he made millions of dollars (and so did his attorney) doing what he did, and as best as I can tell there isn't anything preventing someone from following suit. Though I admit they may not get as far. Who knows.

I guess I need someone to convince me how someone repeatedly getting lawbreakers busted is wrong.....
