Peruta Case Management Conference after District Court decision

The Judge has ordered a "Case Management Conference to be held one week following ruling on parties' cross-motion for summary judgment." That would be this Friday, 12/17.

Supposedly, this conference will set the pace and strategy for the remaining issues, as well as the case in its entirety.

    Any comments?

All parties should open-carry to the hearing, so that the court's decision is put forward as she wants it.

The Second Amendment is the one right that is so fundamental that the inability to exercise it, should the need arise, would render all other rights null and void. Dead people have no rights.

Logged into PACER, here is what's going on:

Docket Text: NOTICE OF APPEAL as to [65] Clerk's Judgment, [64] Order denying Plaintiff's Motion for Partial Summary Judgment and granting Defendant's Motion for Summary Judgment, by Leslie Buncher, California Rifle and Pistol Association Foundation, Mark Cleary, James Dodd, Michelle Laxson, Edward Peruta. (Filing fee $455 receipt number 0974-3144253.) (Notice of Appeal electronically transmitted to US Court of Appeals.) (Attachments: # (1) Exhibit A, # (2) Exhibit B, # (3) Notice Representation Statement)(Michel, Carl). Modified on 12/14/2010 to edit text re order being appealed. (akr).

Checked PACER for the 9th Circuit, and there's no filing yet.

All case management hearings was cancelled on the 1st of this month by the magistrate judge.

What Gray said. When Gonzalez ruled in favor for Gore's MSJ, the case was completely lost. Gray, thanks for checking PACER. Were you able to RECAP that appeal filing? Thanks.

Any reason not to lock this thread then?

Yeah, a gun in a courthouse won't cause a stir or get you proned-out.
