The problem is more often or not you're wrong and its perfectly legal. I still have people insist (and refuse to back down) that my rifles are illegal. Even police officers or former police officers. Yet they are all legally configured offlist rifles.
There are countless exceptions to the rule. It could be a registered assault weapon from before the ban. They could be an LEO. They could be active duty military with a specific exemption. It could have been configured legally and you just didn't recognize which compliance devices they were using.
Never assume you are the smartest guy in the room. That's usually when you end up making a complete *** out of yourself.
I mind my own business. For all I know there rifle is legal and there is some new exemption that applies to them or their rifle. Also, they might actually be a dangerous criminal who would just as soon shoot me. Not all criminals look like criminals. Best to shut up and mind your own.Last edited by tacticalcity; 12-13-2010, 4:46 PM.Comment
