Astroturf is a slang term for a fake grassroots organization, because Astroturf is a kind of fake grass they used in sports stadiums like the Astrodome.

In a time of dire financial straits and potential infrastructure collapse like the world has NEVER seen before, anyone advocating restricting an individual's freedoms and rights to defend oneself and his/her family and friends is committing an act of OUTRIGHT TREASON.

I have not a shred of mercy or pity to see groups like AHSA wiped from existence. Good effing riddance.

Most of the highlights are there on the AHSA Wikipedia page. They supported numerous gun control measures as "common sense" gun control. Many of the leadership positions of the AHSA were filled by people who had been members of or contributed to gun control organizations. The AHSA mostly supported candidates for office that supported gun control.

Just a quick thought -

Sometimes I think that it's good that there are all of these ineffectual organizations taking money from Joyce (and like minded philanthropic groups). It dilutes their power and directs money from the effective anti groups.

Then again, it swells my heart to seem my enemies crushed.

I wonder how those groups get started. It seems like the antis organize them from the start which means if we wanted a fake anti group we would have to fund it ourselves.

While it might get a list of small time antis and do some PR work, I can't see it being worth the money that we would need to put in to such an operation.

AHSA had $500,000.

What could CGF do with a similar amount?
