Celeb tattoo artist Jonathan Shaw arrested for arsenal of weapons including AK-47 ***

    Anybody see this?

    Full story here

A well-known tattoo artist and son of big-band legend Artie Shaw was arrested after cops found an arsenal of heavy weaponry among his belongings, prosecutors said Monday.

Jonathan Shaw, who opened the first legal tattoo parlor in the city and inked celebs like Johnny Depp, Marilyn Manson and Naomi Campbell, was arrested Sunday after movers found the weapons cache in a storage locker.

    Arsenal? Yawn.

Heavy weaponry? Maybe if you try to lift it all at once.

I wonder if the loaded Lee Enfield was what really put them over the edge. Those things are dangerous!

      Hilarious

If it wasn't so scary to be in that position.
It's gonna cost him a boatload of cash to fight this. Could be the brass knuckles are a bigger issue than any of the firearms?
Any self respecting calgunner ought to have more than 2833 rounds of ammo though.
Who knew. An AK-47 and a 12 pump shotgun are now considered heavy weapons. Or maybe they were referring to the stage pistols.

To the OP, please edit the quote in your first post.

              Something like this:

A well-known tattoo artist and son of big-band legend Artie Shaw was arrested after cops found an arsenal of heavy weaponry among his belongings, prosecutors said Monday.

Jonathan Shaw, who opened the first legal tattoo parlor in the city and inked celebs like Johnny Depp, Marilyn Manson and Naomi Campbell, was arrested Sunday after movers found the weapons cache in a storage locker.

Thanks a lot movers! Jeez who the hell are these guys? I guess its just me, but couldnt they have called the customer first before they call the fricken swat team?
Or would that make them accessories after the fact or some garbage. Your probably required to call the police if you see a gun in NYC.

First off I sue their butts for loading my firearms then calling the police. Then I'd sue them for looking through my stuff. i hired you to move my stuff, not play with it.

When an officer "can't be expected to know the entire penal code", but a citizen is held to "ignorance is no excuse", this is equivalent to ME being able to sue my patient for my own malpractice-after all, the patient should have known better, right?

This could be interesting considering he applied for a permit and was denied.
False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

This is wrong on SO many levels. First of all Artie Shaw rocks.

Now, I understand movers need to 'rifle' through your stuff to determine what to steal, but why not just steal it then?

Did they think it was an ATF sting operation?

It sounds like the movers were sent to a storage locker to pack the contents, and needed to ascertain the fragility of the items in the suitcase and duffle bag, so I'm curious as to any liability issues. Moving contracts are pretty thorough as I recall...

What a mess for Jonathan Shaw. But good attitude...

"We are confident this case will be cleared," Pakett added. "Mr. Shaw is looking forward to fighting these charges."

Bloomberg was right. McDonald meant nothing in NYC. Its business as usual.
