I like what you said .....I agree with you 100 percent, this is why I have to go with the independent party this time around. Nightingale gets my vote. I love where she thinks they should limit the legilative sessions to every other year. although I have been told on here that by not voting for Jerry is Anti-Gun, I say, b.s....

MEG's 2A Stand?

I do not believe that Jerry is going to give us any gun candy but IO do not think he is going to take any away from us.
I think people that think Meg is going to fix this state must think the Governor is a dictator, she will not be able to reform welfare with the legislature branch and that is not going to happen. The state is not a business where the CEO gets what they want. She is not going to be anymore affect then the current RINO.
So I voting my gun rights and hoping Jerry ads are some what truthfulJohn

Based on what? The fact that Meg say she wants to reform public employee unions but leaves police unions alone to get their support. Of course in her police state she will need their support."When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff

Movers and shakers, people with clout and influence, titans of politics, banking and industry...
Meg Whitman? (Although I don't think she's that high up on the list)
Edit: Well, after reading this (probably biased) article, this Bilderburg thing is a little more insidious.Last edited by bandook; 10-14-2010, 1:43 PM.Comment

I will let you "vote on one issue" guys get your jollies thinking we are going to have a better situation in CA just because Jerry "may" be gun friendly. Obviously some of you do not care about the economic impact of putting a democrat into CA office. The demos started this turn to worse in CA with Gray Davis. Arnold stopped it to a degree but putting back a demo in office will really wreck havoc on this state for sure. I want someone who knows how to run something that is solid, profitable, along with managed well.
So you "one issue" voters can go cast the vote for Jerry the insane and then rush back behind those shrubs, desert rocks, and other hiding places...Taxes concern me as much as guns considering I pay out a ton of taxes.
I say that we should just abolish this incredibly silly and stupid party system.Comment

Was thinking about Meg and all her talk of helping small business's, cutting back on restrictions and taxes. How she enabled a lot of small home grown business via Ebay. She may be right about that at first, lots of folks got onto ebay making a few bucks, actually doing pretty well for themselves. Then what happened. Ebay started limiting what they could sell (firearm related items), they initiated paypal, and made it pretty much mandatory as THE payment option , pretty much eliminating people using personal checks and money orders...more restrictions, then once they got paypal entrenched, they started adding and increasing fees (TAXES). Most of those folks who had the small ebay based business's are gone, tired of the fees cutting into their little profit margins, and Ebay has been taken over by foreign sellers (China) with their buy it now format. There are hardly any real auctions there anymore. Just a little food for thought for the people that may think Meg has any real concern with helping the 'regular folks' or small businesses."I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them."
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.Comment

I share the fear, but I really don't know what the truth of the matter might be. It might turn out that Whitman will be a staunch defender of our RKBA and that her lack of substantive assurance on the matter is merely a matter of avoiding declaring herself on a politically sensitive topic.

That's what I'm wondering as well. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm actually considering a vote for Meg. I don't see her corporate policy on guns at ebay as a threat to the 2A, simply a business decision to avoid potential trouble. I cannot stand all of these laws that get passed in CA in the name of the environment. We will see many more with JB, IMO.

I've said this before, the math is really simple No Jobs, No Ammo or Guns. Is Meg the best choice, well for right now yes. We need to get our economy back on track, we need to keep up the pressure to get good Conservative lawmakers in, get the darn bleeding heart Socialist/Liberal/Progressives out of the educational system and continue to show people that gun control is hitting what you aim at.
I live in Campbell, we have exactly one store that sells guns and a guy that fixes them. We're surrounded by San Jose, not exactly the mecca for guns but ..... Campbell wants to make it harder to buy a gun within the city limits. Oh wow, you mean I have to drive, literally 50' to get one in San Jose. Now what part of stupid is this?
We need to continue to speak up on the stupidity of the current laws until they stop pandering to the minority left. Ok this is the PRK but I've got dreams.
If this is disjointed I do apologize, blood sugar is getting a tad low. You're entitled to your opinion, no matter how inconsequential it is.Comment

Walmart isnt planning on selling ammo in california after the new bill goes into affect, are you no longer going to shop walmart? I wouldnt want the hassle of owning a business online and having something potentially coming back to bit you in the butt, it could be very costly and destroy a business reputation.Comment
