Yeah, I liked her stance on welfare. I really like your Chuck Norris idea. The sad thing is that in the state of California, your joke about Chuck Norris could turn into reality.

Meg has my vote since I care a lot more about other issues than to solely vote for her stance on guns. This state is hurt and you people voting one issue that is clearly unstated is foolhardy and speculative.

The banning of guns on eBay if spun can be looked at as preventing minors from having the capability to purchase a rifle. Any of you ever steal your parents Credit Cards for purchases when you were young?

I agree - -we already have antis in office now and look what has been accomplished.

for some reason y'all think that if we elect a gun nut gov that we're all the sudden going to have access to all sorts of candy like standard mags and SBS and stuff - just not going to happen. The 2nd advocates will continue to fight and win on every front, chipping away as we have been doing.

So in my mind there are far more important issues that can't be fixed with a simple donation to NRA/SAF/CGF - and those are the ones that will eventually prohibit me from buying more firearms - I'm sure there are many here who wish they cold shoot more but can't due to financial strain and other issues.

            Explain gunbroker.

It's not like I can go on ebay, buy a gun and just have it. There's still a system it must go through. There are too many laws at it is about guns and the transfer of their ownership, it is not meggy's job to regulate how guns should and should not be transferred.

Firearms must be shipped to a gun dealer. This would keep them from minors. Go ahead vote for Meg and then sell your guns while you still can.

I do not vote solely on the 2A. But I have watched politicians LIE on almost every issue. Their 2A Stand says a lot about how they would govern registering most other issues. IE the rights of the people. Especially their belief in the constitution, the respect for the will of the people, verses their belief that they know what is best for us.

I contacted her campaign office in Cupertino and addressed the ebay and no guns policy. Needless to say, the staffer that answered the phone was clueless and attempted to satisfy my inquiry by saying in essence that ebays decision to not allow the sale of guns or accessories was because of the varying laws from one state to the next. He had no personal knowledge of this, he was simply going by the spiel that he was told to recite to anyone who may ask.

If anyone is interested in contacting them by phone, you could call (408) 400-3887.

So i asked .. . no response. maybe with enough hits on the topic her PR dept will notice the need.

you might have to create a login to post a comment. The questions of Long Guns, CCW, and Ammo Control have all been asked in the first post. No need to go off on a rant, maybe just post the always classic +1 or "please respond" in order to generate hits on the thread.
Hey i tied this too , when she was saying all you have to do is ask or tell me, just go to talktomeg dot com, I went there about a year ago and was never answered lol...I think it is a shame that we have to lump someone running into either the republican or the democrat ticket, her views are more in line with a liberal stance , the exception being her stance on business, but other than that seems she should have been on the democrat ticket.

I seem to remember that the original quote was:

"I believe current gun laws need to be enforced but we do not need any new restrictions on gun owners now."

By current gun laws she means may issue, AWB, 10 round mag limit, etc., etc.

If you don't have it word perfect, you've got the essence correct. Net effect was that Meg was not giving any assurance that she would not support further restrictions on our freedom to defend ourselves.

I will let you "vote on one issue" guys get your jollies thinking we are going to have a better situation in CA just because Jerry "may" be gun friendly. Obviously some of you do not care about the economic impact of putting a democrat into CA office. The demos started this turn to worse in CA with Gray Davis. Arnold stopped it to a degree but putting back a demo in office will really wreck havoc on this state for sure. I want someone who knows how to run something that is solid, profitable, along with managed well.

So you "one issue" voters can go cast the vote for Jerry the insane and then rush back behind those shrubs, desert rocks, and other hiding places...Taxes concern me as much as guns considering I pay out a ton of taxes.

The 2A question has been asked repeatedly. Meg has failed to answer repeatedly. Her statement is bunk. She'll trade 2A for bigger picture spending deals that she hopes will put her closer to the big house in DC.

I share the fear, but I really don't know what the truth of the matter might be. It might turn out that Whitman will be a staunch defender of our RKBA and that her lack of substantive assurance on the matter is merely a matter of avoiding declaring herself on a politically sensitive topic.

On the RKBA issue Brown is still the better bet. I'm not sure I'll believe that in a few weeks.

Absolutely. And I'll bet anyone $100 that Jerry Brown, if elected, will do absolutely nothing to improve gun rights in California. And of course, his support of AB32, which will probably kill 1,000,000+ jobs in the state and increase energy costs for all of us shows what a left-wing, tree-hugging loonie he really is. I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about Whitman's stance on gun rights either, but she is clearly the lesser of two evils IMO as she is much more likely to have a positive impact on the state's economy. Remember, you won't be able to by guns if you get laid off because your employer was forced to close it's doors due to increased taxes and government regulation.

BTW-if you care about the economy of this state at all you MUST VOTE YES on prop. 23!!!
