I am allowed three on my permit, and I'd love to add the Serbu. I guess I can always ask.

Nope, you're allowed as many as you want.
      Please read the Calguns Wiki
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

        To clarify:

The law does not have a limit. Many sheriff's have forgotten, in their decades of lording over people and playing god, that their discretion in CCW only extends to good cause and good moral character, whereas everything else is mandatory to be followed. There is no legal limit for guns on the licenses.

Never happen in my County - We can't even have a 1911 type Pistol.

Oh, look, ain't that cute, Contra Costa County Sheriff's are breaking the law 6 ways from sunday by not obeying the mandatory provisions of PC12050-PC12054. Good cause/good moral character is not determined by what guns you put on your license, unless actually illegal.

              probably been done already somewhere.

There probably is at least one person out of the 40,000 CCW holders in this state who has one on their permit although for carry purposes, it is probably a secondary vs a primary gun.

Personally I would wait a few years till we have case law undoing the NFA restrictions on SBRs and possibly SBSs.

Follow up with overturning both the Roberti Roos bill and AB23 to get back features as well as normal capacity magazines, then a SBR AK would be back to being an effective close quarter, multiple attacker defense arm.
