They have been dealing EBRs for a while. They don't do stripped lowers, but I swear they had complete rifles, and I know they had uppers and everything else.

Per Canyon Sports in Martinez, they've been notified by their national distributors that the DOJ has prohibited shipment of complete EBRs, even equipped with BBs, into CA. Local dealers must sell what's on the shelves and that's it. This apparently does not yet apply to lowers.

Somebody please tell me that's a load of cr*p.

it's obvious that importing lower/complete rifles is still legal, but is it possible that some distributors really aren't going to ship lowers to Ca anymore because they recently heard some FUD and believed it?

This noise is likely the result of a combination of an out of state distributor shipping complete AW(s) to some CA FFL(s) who do not realize they can't acquire AWs and then modify them.

I think this is the result of some of the mom & pop FFLs jumping on the EBR bandwagon - and not Calguns-friendly FFLs.

Of course the tide bounces back to some of these FFL vendors who don't "get it" and then they don't want to do anything.
