You all know who Senator Romero is. Well she has decided that LAPD is killing a disportionate number of immigrants, poor and minorities. You know, the ones that commit most of the crime in the cesspool we call Los Angeles.

She wants to know why they have to shoot people with knives. (21 foot rule)

Here is the solution that she seeks. Either we dramatically increase the number of WASP suspects with weapons on the streets of Los Angeles or LAPD has to find alternative ways to deal with armed suspects.

Chief Beck is a big supporter of Special Order 40 and he is now reaping what he has sowed. LAPD has been neutered by a succession of Chiefs that have had to commit felonies on the Mayor in order to be selected as Chief. Weak policing, lack of cooperation with ICE, Sanctuary City, my what a surprise.

The Honorable Senator has most likely never had the opportunity to face off against a suspect with a knife at 21 feet or less. If she had, she might have a better understanding of what she is talking about.

The good news is she will go 10-98 in a few months. She can then seek a position as a professional Latino apologist for one of the many pressure groups that own the Mayor.

This can't be any worse than the lawmaker in NY State who proposed a "shoot to wound only" law for LEOs. There will no doubt be one who is thinking along these lines, but they would propose disarming LEOs all together, as some "watchdog groups" did after the Oscar Grant incident.

Until the voters begin voting with their big heads rather than their little... you know..., The correct (not right, or left) changes will not be made, and the city's cockroaches will become taken over by a new more dangerous & deadly critter that noone will recognize, but one that this legislature would say we should tolerate & embrace, and "spread the wealth" toward.

That's great! It sounds like it certainly deserves investigation. Your "21 foot rule" hardly gives license to all LEOs to shoot anyone with a knife that's threatening them within 21 feet no matter how much you would suggest it does.

No, I did not. You did. Please don't ever try to twist my words again -- that's a cheap and obvious stunt.

What I said was being threatened by someone with a knife who is within 21 feet of you is not license to shoot them.

In some cases the person with the knife may indeed end-up getting shot and the shooter may indeed be justified in shooting the person with the knife -- many, many variables (and often options) come into play.

Those that suggest there is automatic license to shoot any threatening person with a knife who is within 21 feet of a LEO are simply mistaken.
