My answer to Rosie about why we need assault weapons would have been the following.

The second amendment is more than just a right to keep and bear arms, it also imposes a collective duty on Americans to be properly equipped, trained and ready to serve in the "Militia".

The purpose of the "Militia" is keep our country a Free Republic, wheter those attacks come from foreign enemies or domestic tyrants who would turn the government against the people.

The 1st amendment recognizes our peaceful means to fix our government, the 2nd amendment gives us the violent means.

Yes, we have gun violence by criminals in our country and we should make gun policies that effect criminals.

But banning so called "Assault rifles" won't stop criminals from having guns, what it will do is strip the American people of their ability to remove a bad government should we ever make the mistake of electing someone like a future Adolf Hitler.

50 million plus died because of Hitler. With Nuclear bombs, a modern day Hitler could wipe out the human race.

It's a crazy mixed up world we live in when action stars are on that list but Angelina Jolie is not (she does admit she likes guns by the way). Of course the list could be BS but I don't know.

I could give a rat's backside for most everyone on that list, but I've always liked Steve Buscemi so that one is a bummer.
