              It sounds good but I always though modern bolt action rifles were closer to the Mauser 98 than a Springfield...

                                  I am giving a presentation tonight to UCSD students interested in purchasing their first firearm. This could be a good video for those fence-sitters.

                                          The Springfield 1903 is a copy of the Mauser 98, which is why the US was paying royalties to Mauser for every Springfield 1903 rifle we made. Most turn bolt action rifles are a direct descendant of the Mauser action.
