I would be careful asking one of your leo friends to run your criminal history through CLETS and NCIC. Any officer who does that has committed a felony under PC 502 and if it is discovered will most likely be prosecuted by local DA. NUMEROUS officers have gotten in trouble for this and fired. IF you requested they do it then you are guilty as well.

781 W & I states:
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the court shall not order
the person's records sealed in any case in which the person has been
found by the juvenile court to have committed an offense listed in
subdivision (b) of Section 707 when he or she had attained 14 years
of age or older.
So if the offenses committed was in 707(b) sealing your record doesn't apply. CA sucks.Comment

the question is more along the lines of the actual implications of sealing the record. It's only been about 1 month so i have another month to go before every one has to complyComment

You may just have to wait it out.
Have you spoken with the DOJ? You should of been given a number to call. (From what I read no you have not. I might have missed it)
I was denied for a traffic violation non-payment.
I have committed a few in my juvenile days, some violent, some involving guns....and even some "enhancements" to those crimes. I can own guns now.
I got off probation at the age of 18...I also bought guns at the age of 18.
Your paperwork my not have made it to its final destination. You may just have to wait it out.California Uber Alles, California Uber Alles

Did your juvenile offense's effect your ability to own firearms or did you seal your record and your juvenile offenses disappeared? Or did doj ever question your juvenile history after you got the record sealed?
Any way your signature is the ****. YEEEEEEEEEEEEComment

I think that when it was all said and done, and all the conditions the court had requested were met... my record would be sealed. So I do believe my record was sealed.
I never had an issue with it after. It was never mentioned by the DOJ on any firearm purchase. So I assume it was sealed on my 18th B-day when I was released from juvenile probation.
When it came down to it in court....we made sure (and fought the whole way) I would be able to purchase firearms after sentencing was said and done. It was a long fight (8mo), and as you may know "time served" is not granted to juveniles...so on top of the 8mo. fight I had another year to do after that.
But yes, my record is sealed. No, DOJ never questioned it. I always check the "NO" box.
Technique, over and out....Yeeeeeeeee!California Uber Alles, California Uber Alles

Everything of mine (firearm related) was dropped to vandalism. Shooting outside of city limits at stuff you shouldn't shoot at.
Interestingly enough though...(22) I was never charged with...Morgan hill, Ca. I "escaped" (there are no fences) from the James Boys Ranch.
(14) was dropped to Battery (?) maybe...a misdemeanor.
I was "booked" on the highest of the high
Without too much detail...the guy was only "clinically dead" in transit to the hospital. So until he was out of ICU...the charge was the big "M".
the "victim" was later arrested for attempted murder and the guy who stabbed him with his own knife, and I were released...it was deemed self defense. All within less than 24 hours and no lawyer. Though we were booked it also never affected a background check.California Uber Alles, California Uber Alles

technically robbery
what happened , I told some one to hand over their bicycle
now that i look back , it has been completely worth it
i am not proud , in fact i am very embarrassed. Only thing I can do now, is prove I have learned my lesson by continuing to live an exemplary life and do what is right on a day to day basis. That being said a judge thought I have reformed and granted my request to seal my record.Comment
