So what happens if you already have a safe? Would this bill make old safes ?unsafe??

To me this also sounds like another ?list? to add gun ownership to.

The Supreme Court needs to revise qualified immunity with regards to executive officers, but I do not hold my breath for such an outcome due to immense institutional reluctance to open such a large complex new world of litigation.

AB-3064 seems to have undergone gut-and-amend to be mainly about minor changes to the requirements for reporting imported firearms??

Even though this specific instance appears to have resulted in a positive development, the gut-and-amend process enables legislatures to quickly enact laws without sufficient notice or deliberation. For example, Illinois passed its assault weapons ban using a procedural maneuver of midnight total text replacement. I really wish every state would abolish the practice.

Easily--that is if you ever want to purchase ANOTHER firearm. You have to prove ownership of an approved device (or exception) when picking up a firearm or you have to buy one before the firearm is delivered to you by the FFL.

Not really. These provisions were simply transferred to Portantino's SB 53.

Because every new DemoKrat that gets in has to "do something" while they are there. Gun control thanks to Prop 63 is a winning agenda here. They can't lose on it. In fact they are rewarded for it. They get reelected and money from anti gun orgs.

No matter how crazy or insane they will "gun control orgs" write them up and the DemoKrat will carry it and it will pass. All DemoKrats will vote for it.

They have passed so many laws that cover it now they have to make sh*t up. It will more than likely pass and take years if not decades in the court system and the 9th will carry water for them.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.
