Several manufacturers put magazine disconnects, loaded chamber indicators and external safeties on their semi autos just for the CA market. Some just gave up on semi autos for CA after the added micro-stamping requirement. Some just carried the grandfathered models for CA.
If a gun was on the roster before a requirement, it can be renewed if the manufacturer wants to renew it.
Bottom line is that if nothing changes, all CA rostered semi auto handguns will be pre 2007 and the list will be getting shorter.
