    AB2733 (2018)

Did AB2733, the bill to remove microstamping from new handguns, die a slow and painful death? have not seen anything since 2018 when it was introduced into the California Assembly.

You might want to check in California legal section.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Microstamping is actually inactive right now due to a mistake in AB-2847 which was suppose to make it one stamp, but actually moved the commencement date to July 1, 2022 ..

It would appear no manufactures are taking advantage of the window to place new firearms on the roster.

Bill questions go to California 2nd Amend. Political Discussion & Activism, so moved.

AB 2733 was dead in April of 2018

CA has 2-year legislative sessions - 2017-2018, 2019-2020, 2021-2022 etc; bills do not carry over into the next 2-year session (but can be re-introduced).

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

It is a trap designed to get a manufacturer to successfully get a new semiautomatic on the list. Once they do, the 3 for 1 provision kicks in. We have chosen to not take the bait. If any other MFG does, they will be responsible for rampant attrition of pistols available in CA.
