    Walmart Denies Ammo Sales

I just came back from walmart to buy some birdshot to go skeet shooting with my sister.

Walmart said they are not doing ammo sales anymore as they are not deemed essential.

Anyone else have any more info or news on this?

Walmart has always had various excuses for not selling ammo. Add another one to the list.

Definitely not the situation with Walmart in Idaho. Closest small town from me is 5 or so miles away, and I can get ammo at the lumber yard, farm supply store (also sells guns), True Value Hardware, and the LGS.

After reading around other posts and forums. I could not find any clarification.

It seems like this is just a policy that Walmart themselves are imposing.

Just a little confused I heard there was a case where a federal judge ruled that firearms were not considered an essential business to stay open.

So does it mean other FFLs are still selling ammo aside from Walmart?

I got tired of WW`s BS and stopped doing business with them. I will spend my hard earned money where it is appreciated.

Newsflash for all the conspiracy theorists!

In order for Walmart to sell ammo, they need to have an employee with a COE and DROS account. Since ammo is an extremely small part of sales in their stores in CA, they may not have a person with a COE and DROS account available all the time. I’ve seen this first hand and have been told this. They then send those buyers to my store

Tell them they are violating federal law & an explicit presidential order.

But why are you shopping at walmart for gun stuff anyway?

Go support your local gun shop unless they are awful people or something...

Quit slamming Waddle World and sight a new Target for your disdain.

I am a ammo whore buyer. I'll buy from any retailer that has the cheapest price for what I'm looking for. I pick no nits.

You're welcome to pay 3X as much or > from your friendly LGS. Right?
