Thought walmart california changed their policy about not selling military ammo and only hunting ammo like 22lr and 308 win.

I don't mean to hijack the thread . Once I went to super market in Alaska just want to get couple bags of chip and junk food, I "dropped my jaw" when I saw they also sale guns and ammo, that really knocked me down.

I saw the Walmart writing on the wall two years ago. I stocked up on-line.

in this state yes, it's not a problem in other states.

I bought two thousand rounds of 22LR from the Murrieta Wal-Mart last Thursday. No hassle. Never been hassled back when I was stockpiling before the background check law kicked in.

Maybe this just depends on the store?

Where I went to school, there was a quickie mart type convenience store. Yup, they sold guns too, had 3 or 4 handguns in a display case.

In the very small town where I grew up (pop 3k at the time) the Rexall drug store was the main place to buy ammo.
