I agree with curtisfong. The Roster of "safe" handguns is complete and utter BS designed to significantly reduce and eventually eliminate handguns available to the average Californian. There is no moral issue here when you have an unjust law that defies common sense.

Thermidorian Reaction . . Prepare for it.We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying, we know they know we know they are lying, but they are still lying. ~ Solzhenitsyn -

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

I'm putting 2+2 together. I could be coming up with 5 though.
I'm assuming the cop(s) in this story are connected with selling gangbangers happy switches for Glocks. Evidently there's a drop-in device which converts them to full-auto."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill
"I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!" - Senator Barry GoldwaterComment

That might be borrowed from the common core curriculum; the Glock switches were being sold online, the peasants didn't need a roster exempt person to acquire them.

Common core is asinine.Comment

Not to high jack this thread, but the "Einstein" that was instrumental in common core is the same person behind the proposed SAT scores "additives".
Having said that, I would assume these weapons were properly transferred to the new owners, putting aside the "for profit" aspect, is this any different that an an inter family transfer?Last edited by mwr; 06-10-2019, 10:56 AM.Comment

Cops support and enforce anti gun laws that create a roadblock for certain guns. Cops then use their privileges to profit off that roadblock. How is that not unethical?Comment
-
I agree that is unethical. But you are confusing two different kinds of cops
1) CLEO that run the union (they're politicians)
2) rank and file LEO that just want to sell a firearm they purchased to someone else
Rank and file demonstrably have zero influence on CLEO and their associated politics. This is the system as designed. They're grunts and always will be grunts. Their personal feelings about gun ownership is entirely irrelevant.Comment

There are alot more rank and file then chief's... If they demanded change, they would get change.Comment

Because the rank and file police officers care more for their benefits and pensions than anything else, they vote for their union representatives and the policies that they generate. Every law and policy that their union supports is entirely the fault of the rank and file officers.I agree that is unethical. But you are confusing two different kinds of cops

There is no argument or excuse that you can argue against that, the rank and file police officers are directly responsible for every gun law that the police unions have supported.Frank
