The current ATF 4473 (revised 10-2016) clarifies by also stating that use or possession, even if legal under State laws, makes you an illegal user under Federal laws.

as the holder of a MMC, you cant legally buy a firearm as per the ATF, the possession of a firearm is questionable.

Alcohol is responsible for for more bad decisions in one Saturday night than all of marijuana use combined.
Alcohol is always behind an accident or domestic violence, or a car crash.

For all you heavy drinkers: your in denial.

Do you really think that guns are a problem for a responsible man when he smokes a little weed and watches a movie with his wife after putting the kids to bed. Wake up. Alcohol tears up your organs, and makes you an idiot.

If you can have one beer and let it go, once in a while, fine. But many guys immediately reach for another.

If you drink the hard stuff and stay up late and sneak another when your wife is asleep, you have a problem far greater than any pot head could ever imagine.

But hey, I don't smoke, I just live in Mendocino so don't worry about what I say. Go ahead and drink your corn whiskey and lie to your doctor.

However, neither pot nor alcohol mixes well while shooting or handling guns. But I have seen with alcohol that if one becomes drunk, showing his buddy his gun collection seems like the best idea since sliced bread. I would say that half of all accidental discharges are alcohol related.

My understanding exactly. Just because you have the card, doesn't mean you're using. If my doctor prescribes me oxycodone but I never fill the rx, is that the same as taking the drug?

If you ever wonder if chronic marijuana addiction causes brain damage, Just point out any of the malignancies of marijuana and watch them line up to spout off some 1/2 baked mumbo jumbo about how at least they arn't addicted to some other drug.
