I say let them. The more ridiculous the laws are, the more law-abiding people will research them when they realize firearms are effectively outlawed for self-defense. Imagine being a woman whose house or neighbor's house was broken into. Then you go to buy a gun, and realize you can only have 10 rounds, research the strict self defense laws, and ammo background nonsense. Normal people are not as anti gun as say, Moms Demand Action. With education as to how AR-15s could be useful for multiple invaders, and how we need more than 10 rounds to be reasonably safe, we could turn these newcomers to gun laws into pro-gun people.

The more ridiculous the laws get, the more a counter-culture will brew. Strengthening the opposition. I am 22 years old, and have seen signs of this in my generation. The important thing is how to catch the ball and fight for change.

**** them. Go featureless. Don't register. Where is the NRA? The NRA should have an office in front of capital building up in Sac. Big bright neon red NRA logo. They really need to make a concerted effort in this state.

Its not me saying it, the "do not register" guys are the ones talking about "voting from the rooftops" and illegally hiding weapons.

          LEO's wouldn't be the target.

Nobody said that LEO's would be targeted, you're making that up.

LOL. Look around you dude; the members of this forum are the "subversives" now. And aside from having a healthy respect and like for firearms I'm largely ashamed to be in any way associated with it at this point.

Armed conflict in the streets, hiding weapons... You guys are the nutjobs now.

It's not time for a full ban on all semi-auto rifles. That is 7-10 years out. Next on the agenda will be closing the "featureless assault rifle loophole". I see this taking place in 3-4 years. Ban on stripped lower manufacture/importation/sales in 3-4 years. Ban on complete rifle manufacturing/importation/sales in 5-6 years.

"Hiding" weapons or moving them out of State (legal) is a loooooong ways from taking up arms against law enforcement.

LE that I personally know feel the same way about these laws that I do.

The NRA has a full-time lobbyist in Sacramento. The problem is that Californians have populated the legislature with radical Progressive (fascist) Democrat legislators and a radical Progressive Democrat Governor and those politicians don't give a !@#$% what you, I, or the NRA want. Sacramento is dominated by Radical Progressive (fascist) Democrats because gun owners and conservatives won't get off their butts and open their wallets to get 2nd Amendment friendly politicians elected. We'd much rather complain that gun-friendly candidates aren't perfect enough and sit out elections. Gun owners are great, almost unsurpassed at complaining about the results of elections and the resulting loss of freedom but won't do a thing about it. Most won't even spend $40/yr to join the NRA. Is your NRA membership up to date?

A total ban is probably coming here in CA. Nine Scalias on SCOTUS
                        aren't going to change it,either.

Californian politicians don't seem to care about the Constitution at all, or at least they believe California's laws supersede those of the nation. It's frightening arrogance but it sure has been working for them for a long time.

When the majority of citizens back it up and ask for it, well, yeah - it's going to work.

You see, our lawmakers are in fact - a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

We gun owners, are simply not "the" people that matter.

I dont get this mentality of hiding guns in an attic or in a hole as if one day SEAL Team -6 is gonna call you up AND ASK YOU to come join them in the fight against Sacramento Democrats. So you will need to have your own AR15. Do you really think this is gonna happen? Do you really think there will be armed conflict in the streets of Ca, where the only firearms civilians have are the ones that a few guys hide under the floor boards of their garage?

Please answer me, if Sacramento issued a ruling that all firearms are banned and everyone must turn in all firearm, explain to me why you feel the murder of LEO is then justified. Are you going to grab your rifle and start murdering cops? Please explain this too me.

You live in a State that will continue to ban firearms until a Court tells them to stop.

1- Register your firearms so you can continue to use them to defend yourself from criminals without the fear of a felony conviction. Continue to fight the A-holes who are passing these laws IN THE COURTS.

                              2- Get out of California.

                              the choice is yours.
Huh dude? I just read all of the posts above yours and no one is advocating for conflict or trying to be a redshirt walk-on for Delta Force. Let's not sandbag this thread with the overheated rhetoric.

Honestly, if they go for banning semi-autos, it's probably time for that. But let's not forget - in Idaho, they converged not because the legislature was voting to restrict rights, but because they were considering not voting to EXPAND them. Even had the Idaho legislature voted no, there would have been no diminishing of the current freedoms that they already enjoyed (which already included shall issue and very few restrictions on anything).

Frankly, I'd love to have the liberty of protesting our legislature because they weren't expanding our freedoms rather than having to protest their actions because they are trying to restrict already diminished freedoms further.
