    Ban On All Semi-Auto Rifles?

Is this old news or just baseless speculation?

In a recent conversation with Breitbart News, Gun Owners of California's (GOC) Sam Paredes told us to be ready for an all-out ban on semi-automatic long guns in California's coming legislative session. | Local

Article is dated today. Doesn't surprise me if they try to go for an all out ban. What does the CA legislation have to lose?

Those bills will be back without a doubt.

Old news but not quite right on semi-automatic long guns where they only tried to ban featureless rifles with detachable magazines.

Our legislature passed the SB-374 featureless ban in 2013 but couldn't get past Brown's veto.

They started the process again in 2016 with AB-1663 although that one died in committee and we got the AB-1664/SB-880 bullet button ban which Brown signed.

They passed one gun a month in 2016 with AB-1674 and Brown vetoed.

Now they have super majorities in both houses which can override a gubernatorial veto, a public which has demonstrated it will pass anti-gun ballot initiatives without grandfather clauses, and Newsom as front runner for Governor in 2018.

Sounds like you guys might be first in line to try out Trump's SCOTUS nominations.

Of course they will. They know it has a good chance of getting shot down by the courts. But so what. It'll take years. By then, after they've driven all the rifles underground and confiscated many, and sales have ended for a decade, what will they care. There won't be but a few gun shops left in kalifornia, ammo will virtually non existent, and ranges will be closed by then.

They got it all figured out. These people are the very definition of evil.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Cali Democrats run on gun ban legislation, so there's always something to be banned. If they banned everything at once, then there'd be nothing left to run on next year.

They need their face in the news somehow and it won't be for Constitutional rights.

Libratards. Always thinking ahead on gun bans, even if they have twenty

Yeah I'll be really surprised if after this next year you guys are allowed to own slingshots.

I don't own TV and so I understand some of the new requirements. I'm getting a fixed stock for my SIG 516. However, do I need to get rid of my magpul angled foregrip?

                      Thank you.

Prediction: These corrupt union-owned political hacks will simply ban anything chambered in 5.56 - Much easier than trying to ban all the different variations of semi-auto rifles. A la .50BMG.

Wait and see. The AW registration bullcrap was just a precursor to banning by caliber.....

it will happen in 2 years, ca will be the first state to require all SACF to be registered, two years later a complete ban on sales

No, your SACF will not be a RAW, it will be a RSACF, so your "featureless" will stay that way forever and still be registered.

this starts 2018. Gee I wonder why.

And there will be justifications given here by many as to why one should go ahead and register those slingshots.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Converge on the next full assembly, Idaho style.

Repeal everything, abolish the roster, pass emergency legislattion restoring 2A to the Fed level so we can all go home by dinner time?
