    Hi-Cap Mag Question

Hi I spent a good amount of time searching for an answer to my question but I haven't been able to find what I was looking for.

I'm trying to get some 10/20 Pmags for my AR build but all the vendors seem to be sold out.

There are some on Gunbroker and I was wondering if I can buy 20rd mags on gunbroker. Have them shipped to a family member in Texas. Then have my family member disassemble them and ship them out to me. Once I get them they will be converted to 10rd mags.

I'm pretty sure it's 100% legal but I wanted to double check.

    Thanks

That's a legal course of action.

What is the simplest way to modify magazines in that situation in order to comply with the law?

You just cannot assemble them as 20rd unless you are using them as preban rebuild kits.
Pin them at 10 and rebuild them and I believe youre AOK

            Thank you,

I knew it would be around here somewhere, I just hadn't figured out where to look yet.

            I appreciate the help.
