The new 11% sales tax on guns
Tags: None -
California residents will start paying an 11% tax on gun purchases starting July 1 and I have yet to see any lawsuits. I wonder why the subject is moot. Baffling
If today (Jun 11 2024) I go to LGS and buy 3 pistols and I paid off all of them. Are there any way to get away from the 11% add-on tax ? Can they do 3 DROS today, and the pick up of the second and third is 30/31 days apart from each gun ?
I am thinking that used guns will also jump up in price due to this crappy additional 11% tax, what do you say? Thanks
Are there plans to attack this erroneous tax? If so do we have to wait until July 1st when it takes effect? “Under Assembly Bill 28, which Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law on September 26, 2023, an 11% tax will apply to gross receipts from retail sales of ammunition, firearms, and firearm precursor parts startingLast edited by 9Cal_OC; 06-25-2024, 5:58 PM. -
Thanks, 9Cal_OC.
CRPA has promised litigation; we'll have a new thread for that suit when it is filed.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment
