Can anybody image other rights disappearing on crossing state lines?
1) How about the right to vote for young people?
2) Even better, right to vote for women?
3) I always like to bring up the 13th because it is so instructive: could non-whites be made property because of location within the US?
4) Can state laws make the US income tax invalid?

These questions are interesting because there certainly are early laws on these subjects. There is an overwhelming amount of information and documentation on these topics.

Donald Trump says a lot of words. Only a small fraction translates into action. We shall see.

This is one of the things that makes me wary about Trump.

Other than Judges (and we've seen how much good that did) he pointedly refused to move on reciprocity "you'll never get it" and other serious Civil Rights violations. His DOJ didn't sue a single State/City over unconstitutional gun laws.

On that topic - Trump HAS to get a LOT better about his picks. I know there are literally THOUSANDS of them - his fat friend Christ Christie recommended Chris Wray at FBI - how did THAT turn out. Same as Special Counsel Weiss - recommended by Joe's Delaware gang (which is why i always laugh then they say "Trump appointed"). Aside from VP, his choice for AG has GOT to be strong and active!!!

I doubt Donald Trump even has the patience or energy to personally vet every nomination. He needs to pick solid advisors who then present solid options.
