We filed that lawsuit as soon as was possible back in September, in fact, a little before Newsom even signed SB2 lol.

The lawsuit filed today isn't really directly about SB2, though some aspects of it are implicated. High fees, long wait times, psych exam, and reciprocity were issues before SB2 and will be after. It doesn't change any of those. In fact, it will probably worsen wait times and fees.

Yes, of course we wish we could have filed on these issues even earlier, but CRPA doesn't have Bloomberg bucks. There is no billionaire financier behind the scenes. The org has to budget and prioritize. And I don't think anyone can really say CRPA doesn't do enough. Many of you are buying new semiautomatic handguns for the first time in a decade thanks to our partial (so far) win in Boland. And no doubt many more have freedom week magazines due to Duncan. And we recently got an injunction against California's gun show ban with B&L Productions.

Our motion for preliminary injunction will follow in a few weeks.
Thank you for all you do in support of 2A rights in California!

Many thanks to you and the lawyers at CRPA for your efforts in this multi-level fight for our 2A Right!

The 'bolded' item above should serve as a "Get on the CRPA train" by joining the CRPA if you have not done so. We can't win these fights without 'ammo'!

Not saying to not do both.
But a donation to the 'legal' fund does more than just a membership in the CRPA.

Another issue of perhaps secondary importance:

There is a disparity between the number of guns we can list on our CCW depending upon which county we live in. That ranges from unlimited in some counties, to five guns in Ventura and only three in LA County.

Had to displace one gun from my original three, to add a P365 XL at renewal in LA County

How do we get the more restrictive counties to expand the number allowed?

          4/19/21 applied, 8/31 Whittier interview.
11/17 PTT email, docs sent 11/18
12/13 call for pick up, picked up 12/15/21.
Utah CCW since March 2018 and Arizona since June 2022
          Mailed renewal 5/8/23, online 11/6, interview 11/15
11/26 PTT and docs submitted, 11/29 approved

File a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of laws that require explicit listing of specific firearms on concealed carry permits.

LASD retirees qualify one time with the type of gun they carry unless they go for 218 status nationwide and then it's yearly. They can even qualify with black powder cap and ball if they so choose. Can carry any revolver or any auto or any black powder cap and ball if they qual with one version on just about the same ccw course as civilians. Most cops are not shooters so why so hard on civilians and why so much red tape?

It?s simple. The administration of too many LE agencies would rather the citizens NOT be armed. Ditto for all the legislators and government bufoons.
This is yet ANOTHER example of why the entire country should be constitutional carry. This whole business of permission slips does NOTHING to reduce crime, and EVERYTHING to stifle the efforts of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves.

The state wants its sworn agents to carry arms, not ordinary civilians.

Yes, I did acquire a few freedom week magazines. But they are vastly outnumbered by the number of standard capacity mags I now have. That does not help me in Idaho! But again, keep up the good work.

California sits on the front lines of the war to preserve Second Amendment rights. Whatever gun control laws win their judicial battles in California metastasize into problems for everyone else, as Democrats incorporate the legislation into their nationwide platform.

First, let me say that I fully support those in CA whose 2A rights are being infringed by elected officials in CA. Far from trying to rub the advantages of living in Idaho in anybody's nose, I specifically said keep up the good work. I wholeheartedly wish that conservative Californians enjoyed the same 2A rights and privileges as Idahoans. If anything, I was merely attempting to point out how much CA is infringing on the rights of Californians. In fact, I will be offering my services on a pro bono basis to a CA resident presently charged with possession of an AW and a LCM to help ensure that all potential 2A defenses are fully preserved. Hopefully, you now understand that we are on the same side.
