I believe CA is a lost cause for the 2nd. NRA has given up on us a long time ago.
Justice Kavanaugh, when he sat as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, wrote a dissenting opinion arguing that assault weapons bans violate the Second Amendment. Justices Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch have robust originalist ideologies. The gun rights community only needs one of remaining Republican-appointed Justices Roberts and Barrett.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Second Amendment makes us citizens, not subjects. All other enumerated rights are meaningless without gun rights.

        Here's their Exhibits ,

There's several instances of arrests and firearm confiscation, complete with pictures.

I always thought that motions for reconsideration required something other than a rehash of the existing facts.

An independent entity taking advantage of the judge's decision doesn't seem like "new facts" to me. Nor does the State complying with the judge's decision/injunction denial indicate something which requires reconsideration of the decision/injunction denial.

It sounds more like a company doing lawful business with a State entity. And that isn't "new facts."

The State's attorney's need sanctioned for this absolutely frivolous pleading.
          Some random thoughts:

Somebody's gotta be the mole so it might as well be me. Seems to be working so far.

Evil doesn't only come in black.

Life is like a discount bakery. Usually everything is just what you ordered. But, occasionally you come face to face with an unexpected fruitcake. Surprise!

Who misspelled California Rifle & Pistol Association?

So this is a good thing, right? They denied Gavin Newsome and Rob Bonta. In actual terms, though, does it change anything?

It slows the state down, but they are already going to ask the court of appeals for a stay. I think because the judge was too slow.

I don't think they'll get a stay. It's 49.999% to 50.001% though. I'm starting to feel that the 9th sees the handwriting on the wall. If so they won't grant the stay.
