Anyone ever receive a "government agency hold" notice on a shipment of ammunition before? I haven't, but perhaps others have.

A sceptic might think Midway is trying to deflect being the only vendor that panicked and put a hold on in-flight shipments. If Midway is being truthful, unfortunate coincidence, indeed.

As I said earlier working for UPS I have never seen an exception scan like that. I personally believe it was a fud created meme

Well, I saw it firsthand on the UPS website tracking information. I’m pretty sure UPS doesn’t post memes on their tracking website.

For Midway to use the term “Nitro Express” in anything, is an insult to the history of dangerous game hunting, an insult to ammunition history, and an outright lie, complete with their delayed rice paper packaging methods. It is anything but fast, and half the time the boxes are easily shredded by the gorillas at the shipping companies. This not only covers UPS and FedEx, but the donkey dicks at USPS, an institution now ruined by long-standing woke hiring practices dating back to the late 1980’s. They suck.

Never - and I've been ordering ammo of all types from any number of states, vendors, and other resources for over 40 years.

Even the rep I talked to this morning said he'd never heard of anything like this.

                    Speaking of ammo orders . . . . .

Ordered from Brownells Friday... Several boxes of several calibers, $1500 or so total...

email that it shipped on Sunday/Monday morning...

Tuesday get email from Brownells that they must cancel all orders of ammo to CA....

FedEx tracking showed "Shipment cancelled by sender" on Tuesday morning but now simply shows "Label Created" like theyre waiting for the package to get in their hands....

....So is Brownells going to refund my $1500 or what?

From what you stated, Brownell's cancelled your order and it did not ship....all that Fedex tracking is meant to show at this point, is that a shipping label had been created. . Your order was cancelled and with that, of course you are due a refund......give it a little time for the refund to show up on your credit card.

And if the credit doesn't show up soon, and calling Brownell's doesn't work, submit a charge dispute to the credit card issuer. The charge will be reversed, since Brownell's won't be able to demonstrate you received the product they charged you for.

The tracking wouldn't show government agency hold. It would say rerouted by shipper or returned to shipper. There's no conspiracy here, just unfortunate coincidence.

They get it out the door nitro fast, just with the slowest possible method. The dangerous game connection is that in the days of nitro express cartridge hunting, you had to take a big boat to Africa to hunt and their shipping methods are a nod to the speed of transportation to your rhino hunt.

I have a slide coming from Midway and had the same delay and government agency hold in the tracking information. It started with a late arriving truck, so I suspect there was either an accident or someone broke into the truck. I’m having a hard time believing that Midway would recall shipments.
