Hunting for food to survive? What is your game (footprints)?

You are out hunting and you come across the following footprints. What is your game? Pics I took this AM on my trail in the back.

The one in the middle might be fox prints.

          Top one might be rabbit.

Deer/raccoon/turkey. Next time might be agood time to lay a dollar bill on ground next to prints for a frame of reference.

squirrel (or some bounding rodent) / rabbit / turkey

I don't think the initial prints are deer because 1) they aren't obviously deer prints (and usually they are obvious), 2) they are in a straight line. I think the confusion is that all 4 prints of a little critter are actually just one deer hoof.

Snowshoe hares I've seen in the Sierra left more distinct rear prints (very large ones). So maybe it's the slight depth of the snow or that isn't a snowshoe. Where are you located OP?

I'm going to revise my "rabbit" call to be "brush rabbit" (assuming you're in California). Feet aren't wide enough for snowshoe hare and the track pattern matches brush rabbits which leap/bound more than jack rabbits which tend to gallop.

Game plan would be to check all my snares.
