Sun Spot Activity

OK ... there is a lot of bad mojo spreading around the world as I speak ... I really like to observe this stuff and what goes on around us.

One of the things I look into very carefully is the sunspot activity. Currently, we appear to be heading to the peak of the current cycle.


The last peak occurred sometime around the 2001-2003 time frame. This was a time of some very high profile world events ... (911, Invasion of Iraq ... etc) ... What is also interesting is the low spots in the cycle. If you look at the low spots ... then we get 2008-2009 ... which coincides with the largest world wide recession since the great depression.

We are now heading straight into the 2014-2016 sun spot peak .... Maybe we are living in interesting times no?

So ... what do you think? Am I being too paranoid here?

I posted this here instead of OT. My motto is to be forewarned is to be forearmed ... or ... maybe I need to lay off this stuff ... I dunno.

The solar cycle happens every eleven years. Look at the graphs, there is a pattern.

Sure the sun's cycles impact earth's climate so I'll go that way, and sure
that could impact human affairs to some extent as far as climate impacts human affairs.

But your suggesting something far more. That's astrology your suggesting which is ignorant bunk. No way. Total BS.

As previously stated, the solar cycle is eleven years. It goes form very little sunspot activity during the lull, usually builds up slowly and then peaks for a couple of years finally dropping off of several years. With such a long solar period it is not hard to draw a correlation between wars and solar cycles though the real culprit may be the frequency of wars on this planet.

btw, solar activity was spiraling down during the first years of American involvement in WWII but peaking shortly after its conclusion. Since that war officially spanned from 1939 to 1945 it is not hard to understand that part of it was during the eleven year upward solar cycle. So too with Vietnam.

There is a potential corelation between the solar cycle and modern warfare as we now have many arms which are dependent upon satellites for targeting. Satellites are susceptible to huge solar flares which happen during the peak of a cycle. However, I suspect the military has done everything possible to protect those satellites from damage in such an event.

Nature works in mysterious ways---lets face it---Mother Nature doesn't care a rat's arse if we live or die---we would just be another one of those fun adventures before the next new hoard of whatever comes next...
