Silly question- could you hurt anything with that setup?

Yes I made a note of it in the video. It had trouble because I was trying to keep the shot in frame while shooting from a downward angle so the power suffered. One optimum conditions it can penetrade soft tissue up to 3 inches and harder surfaces up to 2 inches. It only takes 3mm of penetration to kill an animal depending on shot placement.

Now that's funny. It sure didn't look like 36 inches either. Might be able to pop a baby smurf though. As a novelty its neat. As a survival tool it would make a nice straw.

That's interesting. At distances you would need to kill an animal that it wouldn't have enough penetration and would be extremely hard to aim, thoughts?

Also, pardon my ignorance but what is the shot placement that would only require 3mm of penetration to kill?

You woud be better served with an aluminum ski pole type walking stick as the tube for the blowgun.

Still illegal to possess either the blowgun or the darts for the blowgun in California.

That thing isn't big enough to take game. It is to short to even be accurate at game getting distance. They make blowgun walking poles that would easily take game. But since they are not legal in Kalifornia it isn't worth it to have them.

3mm is a minimum kill shot penetration for carotid arteries on a human
