Can you spot the Gold?
President Elect Trump is a Gold Bug Big League. You can bet one of the first things he does is verify Fort Knox Gold.
I'm not sure I can even feel sorry for all the poor suckers who have ripped off this country in the past. He is going to level the playing field once again.Comment

Gold and silver may work for some, just not for me, especially in a SHTF scenario.
You have to actually possess the gold or silver you own to do anything with it.
If you do possess it, where can you sell it? Banks? I don't see them as being around.
If **** hits the fan, I do not see people trading in gold, or cash.
If **** hits the fan, water, ammo, food, and the skills you bring to a group are what will be worth something.
The above is an extreme scenario.
Status Quo: Sure, gold is cool, buy a little, but don't go nuts. Its kind of like ammo, its not rare, its just being hoarded based on fears of the future.Last edited by Desertdoc; 11-12-2016, 2:52 PM.Primum Non Nocere

Gold might be bad for the rest of the year or really good.
India just canceled their currency and requires an exchange to new currency for larger bills.
This is to find tax cheats. So either people will find a way to swap illegal money to goods like gold or they will stop buying gold due to the swap/tax hit.Comment

Wow...so many specific prognostications here...Gold might be bad for the rest of the year or really good.

"Gold has shot up to as much as $2,800 per ounce
if you can find it."
India has given up on Gandhi bank notes and going for Da Gold.
When a country loses faith in the currency, Gold goes Moon Doggin

I thought the currency ban was for large bills only to assist the government in accounting for currency in circulation.
The overnight ban on the notes last week was intended to crack down on corruption and so-called "black money" or illegal cash holdings.
A top economist labels India's dramatic move to scrap 500 ($7.6) and 1,000 rupee notes bad economics.
To me, its to help account for all the cash in the country, and to try and get more people to put their money in banks to assist fractional banking. Probably whats happening is there are rural areas of India where nobody uses banks, and all transactions are done with cash without knowledge of the government (inability to tax said transactions). And since larger currency bills are being cut out of the system, they're hoping businesses won't perform transactions with large quantities of smaller bills.
This has very little relation to gold or silver in my eyes."The gains will be a one-time tax on black money and a possible disincentive for future black money accumulation, in the event that there is a prospect for future demonetisations."Last edited by OutlawStar; 11-16-2016, 1:07 PM.Comment

This is a good interview.
Try to put this in perspective, 3 years of Gold production sold in the 3 days after Trump election and Gold only goes down $80? Amazing
Buy buy buy
On a side note, I'm trying to sell a Honda for $1300 and the two people that wanted it, had to borrow the money to purchase it? WTF
Lord help this country, no wonder all these people are rioting, they are broke and don't have the brains or knowledge to work or save a buck. They want free and to be spoon fed.

That 7 of 10 have 1000 in savings is so off. Yes alot don't have savings. But I only have 500 in my savings account. The rest is invested or chash held by investment accounts or checking or 401k or bonds or reits or house.
So I am in that 7...NRA Member and Pistol Instructor, CGN/CGF supporter and CRPA Member. Time to put your money where your mouth is.
