Well, Gold and Silver are making impressive moves UP. Dow is Falling.
I suggested that the DJIA would find support at 15,600..Well we are testing that level of support again.

IF, 15,600 doesn't hold 14,000 is the next stop.

PM's should rise. But I don't think it's an event that will find a new floor. I still see a growing economy, slow albeit, but growth none the less.

It's definitely a nice move up today - let's hope the momentum continues. I bought just about everything I could find when gold came down to the 1100 level, and only stopped because the premiums over spot were so high. Similar with silver - but I got in there at just under $15 on average. The combined holdings are well in the money now, and I'm hopeful this becomes the new support level.

Like some others, I got completely out of stocks except for a few that I felt are very safe. At this point, I'm 50% cash, 10% value stocks and 40% metals. Cash is dead money, but the metals are definitely returning nicely.

Oh, and the value of my gun collection is also up around 50% from what I paid That might be the best investment ever.

Yeah, and I think we have a bit more to go. Did you see the asian markets last night? What a bloodbath. China released an announcement telling ordinary citizens to start buying gold to hedge against market turbulence. Next week should be interesting - the holidays will be completely over with, and things will be volatile.

Or not...oh well, there is always tomorrow.

Hopefully the big crash will come then.

I bought AAPL & DIS in August.

                  AAPL $97.95 DIS $100.05 AAPL High $134.54, DIS $122.08

                  Dow down now 310 points
                  Gold Up $14 to $1,108
                  Silver Up $.34 to $14.34

                  VIX Up $3.33 to $23.92

Hold steady and be prepared to buy quality. I'm looking to buy low PE, High Dividend equities.

DOW down to 330 since beginning this post.

I see support now at 15,660. IF you do an analysis and strip off the QE The DJIA should be trading in the 10,000-11,000 range.

I would short NTFLX, TWTR, FB. I would buy GOOGL(alphabet), Amazon and BABA. I want more BABA and at $72.95 is grossly undervalued.
If I had only followed my own advice:

Glock you are a Guru at 15,660 close.

Problemo is the low today at 15,500, which we will revisit in short order and a lot lower.

Metals will serve much better me thinks.

I picked up a 20 stack of Silver Eagles today, couldn't help but celebrate.

There just may be another chance to make up for it. The close today, while not as bad as it was looking earlier in the day, did set off some technical alarm bells. I was listening to Art Cashin earlier, and he was talking about closing numbers that would worry him. One key number was DOW 15,666 - he said if it closed below that, we're headed down in a big way. I don't really believe in technical analysis because it seems like they may as well be trying to read the entrails of a goat... But, with the market not making any sense right now, traders are looking for something to guide them, and these technical indicators are an easy fall back.

I'm feeling good about my overexposure to metals right now, and glad the only stocks I own are hanging in there (Cisco being one of the only ones I held). If things get hammered more during the next couple of weeks, I'm going to dive into the most hated stocks (energy sector). Anything that has very little debt, has refining operations, and has ownership of oil fields that are long-established are ones to look at.

Wow, Nikkei is down about 600 points in the first hour of trading... These markets are getting ugly.

EDIT: Ruh Roh... Now it's down close to 700 and about to breach the critical 15,000 mark...

Good, sounds like it's about time to start moving more cash into the phases...

                              Maybe starting 3/1/2016.

If the whole Fibonacci retracement theory has any merit, we're probably looking at DOW 11,000 until it's done.
