Let's See Your Rain Water Catch Systems

Looking for ideas for a rainwater catch system. I'm thinking about two barrels, catching from an existing downspout with a debris filter. The overflow would likely go back into the downspout or on the ground.

    Suggestions appreciated...TIA.

    What is your intended use?

Debris filter for sure. You also want to add what?s called a first flush filter to capture the heavy metals and sediment that resides on your roof before the first rain.

Before we removed all our grass, I stored and used 1000 gallons of rainwater to offset our irrigation system.

Now, I have no grass and we removed the capture system.
