You bury a firearm - what do you include with it?

I can't seem to get to sleep tonight, so I got to thinking (which is a dangerous thing). A few days ago, there was a thread someone else made about how to best bury guns for long term storage, and now it's got me wondering.

Let's say the scenario is that there's a high probability of impending civil war, or mass riots (or zombies, if that's your thing) happening soon. You want to be sure that if all your firearms are taken from you or destroyed (by a looter, robber, gov't goons, house fire, etc), that you are able to dig up your firearm cache to re-arm yourself. But, if none of that comes to fruition, the cache might end up buried for decades, or forever, so you don't want to bury too much. You're not worried about basic survival items (food/water/shelter/etc) for this cache, this cache is purely for ensuring that you'll be able to sufficiently re-arm yourself fast and have everything you might need to make sure you stay armed.

So, in preparation for this scenario, what would you include in your buried firearm cache?

*Nevermind your preferred method of packing/preserving the contents, there's a different thread for that here.

    I'll start:

    -16" AR in 5.56, and Beretta M9.
-Rifle BUIS and an optic (non electronic/non-tritium, probably just a plain ol' scope)
    -7 AR mags and 1000rds of 5.56, and 3 M9 mags and 200rds of 9mm.
-6-magazine pouch for AR, and 2-magazine pouch for M9
    -Rifle sling, M9 holster
-Large and small screwdriver kits (including hex/torx)
    -punch tool (for retaining pins)
    -needlenose pliers
-AR small parts kit + extra bolt
    -9mm and .22 boresnakes
    -Rags
    -Gun solvent, oil, and grease
    -Toothbrush and Q-tips
    -Rubber earplugs
-Trauma kit, in case the fight will be immediate, or you got injured on your way to your cache, etc.

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

You forgot the Uplula mag loader to your list.

This is silly, but if there were really bad mass riots outside or the caravans reached northern california and I had to get to my girlfriend, here goes...

10.5" AR with A2 stock (cleaning kit in stock with small bottle of ballistol), BUIS, 2 point sling, red dot, loaded with 40 round pmag
3 thirty round pmags loaded, 3 forty round pmags loaded, 2 surefire 100 round mags loaded. 300 rounds of xm855 on clips
chest rig with 6 AR mag pouches
Glock 17 with Surefire X400U with laser and with four 33 round mags loaded, holster and 2 mag pouches
      Glock Collapsible stock
      Beretta 21A 22LR and 50 rounds
Pistol grip only Mossberg 590 with 55 shell bandolier (00 buck only)
      gerber multi tool
Flat-head screwdriver, remote starter switch, adjustable wrench, and wire stripper in case I have to "borrow" someones Honda
22 cal and 9mm bore snake
electronic ear muffs (batteries set aside)

But if I had to just stay locked indoors...

Romanian PSL and 2,640 rounds of 7.62x54R

A whole bunch of scrap metal all around the surrounding area wherever I bury this gun vault.

.... just in case someone with a metal detector forgets where the beach is.

But honestly I'm personally not so much for burying something I might need at a moment's notice, even if it's my extra spare.

Maybe if it's my extra extra extra extra spare I might consider burying it though.

Theorizing the "what ifs" has some value. I'll play a "Neo American rebellion" scenario for sheets n giggles. American minuteman load out if you will.

KISS principle would dominate my choices.

LBV to carry rifle mags/ham ht radio/blow out kit/snivel+ first aid
Pistol belt w/G19/mag pouches w/4 extra mags
          G26 w/4 extra mags
          Pre-loaded pack w/clothes/boots/poncho/hat/MRE's etc.
          SBR'd AR15 w/home made can + A2 stock. QD'd ACOG and fixed sights + light
Spam cans of Wolf 223 and 9mm
1 lb bag Big League Chew

Anyone here ever have to replace an AR bolt?

I worked with some armorer's, but that was during Clinton's ban of bayonet lugs, so I never thought to ask, and I wasn't an AR owner yet.

Well, seeing as how I'm in my 60s already, if I were to bury something for decades I'd probably toss in a few bottles of Geritol, some Depends and maybe some Viagra - oh, and bacon.

It's rare to have to replace a bolt, usually you can fix whatever problem it has after figuring it out. But when seconds matter, and you don't have time to tinker with your bolt to figure out why it's making your gun jam, it's a very quick and easy way to get back into the fight. An entire BCG is even better than a bolt, but it's also bigger, heavier and costlier.

I'm 53 and I doubt I'd be able to dig a ditch and survive. Let alone having to dig it back out again when I'm 63!!!

Would you vacuum seal everything to keep out ground moisture?

The gun/guns, mags, ammo and a few ounces of gold and silver. In a water proof case.

This may or may not have already been done.
