Sounds weird, but do you spit on your bait before casting out?

I do everytime. Not sure where or why I picked it up (lol), but heard its good luck! Maybe give it a try next time :-)

The fish move. You can catch them one day and not the next. Try to move three to five hundred yards. Heat drives trout deep. Try to fish deeper.

This isn't exactly true. Heat causes the water to stratify. The fish move to where the oxygen is. When this happens you will have to hunt them down.

I know that. You wont catch trout in warm water.

              Fishing

I will tell you a funny story. Yesterday went to lake cuyamaca with three friends. I had never fisher there personally. The water level was low so we asked the lady at the bait shop for some tips. Being that the lake is small she said anywhere in the middle. So we fished from 8-2 and caught 18 fish. Now for the funny part, the individual fish count. Fisher 1: 11, fisher 2: 7, fisher 3&4 ZERO. we were all in the same boat, using very similar set-ups yet two guys couldn't catch a fish to save their lives. Not even a nibble.

                Trout

Btw I was fisher two. I was using power bait (spring green & marshmallow) and night crawlers. Fisher one used only blown up night crawlers.

If the fish aren't biting, they just aren't biting. sometimes you can find something else that works. Try different bait, lures and flies. Also, maybe the fish just were not hanging out where you were fishing. Is this really that hard to understand?
What are you fishing for in the bathtub? Wait i don't want to know! :face palm:

I have been a tournament fisherman for many years. Anything and everything has an impact on the bite. You need to take into consideration every element and think what are they feeding on. One day it could be a nymph hatch one day larvae and another it could be a full moon where they feed all night. Don't be afraid to experiment and watch your surroundings. nature will give you subtle clues!
