This is a Rem 7600 pump in 270 Win, I cut the barrel to 20" and machined perfectly to fit receiver, 11 degree inset crown, machined bolt lugs to match barrel lugs, trigger work was done by Divernhunter, this thing will keep up with every Rem 700 I own, only way faster! I have two Rem 760's and one 7600 all in 270 Win, love the pumps!

Nice Don. I'd hate to see you pissed off with that.

So you had to build yours Eric, I can't find one online.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

Holy cow, I'd bet you could stick your foot in that squirrel and wear him like a slipper!

I have yet to use my 45/70 for hunting. I have a Sharps rifle in that caliber. I do however plan on taking it to Africa when i go.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

They don't make the original Contender frames any more, so I had to track down another. Ended up a Calgunner had one that he was selling, so I bought it.

Next was the .17WSM barrel. No one was making one yet, so I called Match Grade Machine (one of a handful of custom Contender barrel makers) and put myself on the list to get one. Once they got a hold of the ammunition to test in some of their tester barrels, I got the call that they were manufacturing and I placed my order.

Last is going to be another rifle stock set-up. This time I am going to go with a nice, custom wood version from Bullberry (as recommended by the Calgunner I bought the second frame from). There are some absolutely stunning rifles out there with beautiful wood that shoot very well.

Here is an example (NOT MINE) from the Bullberry site:

Once you get a scope on the barrel, you can switch them out pretty easily, do a quick sight-in and be off hunting with various calibers!

Impressive rifle Eric, that .17WSM is a serious little round.

It m1907 style sling take little get use too but once you do IMO best sling ever. Make it easy to stand and shoot m1 garand.
On lighter guns its almost like shooting bench rest when done right.

If its turner it will have stamp on it saying Turner saddle.

I think the importance of a sling is not emphasized enough. It's not just for carrying your rifle.
