I want to see the different sporting rifles that you use for hunting, along with some of you successful or unsuccessful hunt pics. I don't care about the caliber that is for another thread, save it. Doesn't have to be an AR like another thread earlier. Just something out of the normal. An m-1, sks, m-14 something different.

I hunt with a Remington R15 in .223 for predators. I am working on changing out the scope with something a bit more compact, but it is very handy out in the field.
I continue to see a huge surge of folks using the MSR for hunting. I just brought on a new writer who will be focusing on MSRs for varmint hunting (including predators) and reviewing products in that platform so we will have more information. MSRs are by-far the most versatile hunting weapon available.
My belief is, the more people who embrace them in various outdoor activities, the more difficult it will be to ban them in the future!

I want to see pictures. Something new besides a bolt gun. We are all used to seeing that. Something different even an air rifle if you use one. Not just ARs either, we have seen those too. I want to see those 1903 springfields some are using. Your M1s .30 cal and 30-06. Maybe I should change the title.Last edited by fonzy; 10-21-2013, 4:24 PM.sigpicComment

Right on toby. I know for myself when I thought of a hunting rifle the first thing that comes to my mind is bolt action with a scope. Sometimes us noobs forget or don't know that there is other options. I had already forgot about the contenders.sigpicComment

I'm fixing to add a handi-rifle in 300blk to my collection. Single-shots seem like a great way to teach people how to shootKCCOComment

My dad has a .460 from Magnum Research he's been trying to take a deer with. Has scope on it, and as long as you have sticks to shoot off of, its damn accurate out to 200-250 yards.Comment

I'm with Toby - the new 17WSM for me is a 23" Contender barrel on a rifle stock.
Here it is with a bigger scope I had on it:
It shoots really nice!
I just bought another Contender frame from a Calgunner this past Sunday, so in 10 days I can rebuild my 5mm carbine!
