Just out of curiousity, why are you using the .308 suppressor on your 6.5?

AAC makes a 6.5 suppressor. If I could legally, I'd have one on my 6.5 Grendel.

Your setup seems to work well enough in the video, but its hard to get a good feel for the sound reduction in a video compared to in person. I'm curious as to what sort of performance degradation you get from using a suppressor for a larger caliber.

I asked Sabre if anyone makes a 6.5 Suppressor. They said not that they were aware of but they liked the guys at Thunder Beast Arms. I just looked at AAC's website and didn't see a 6.5 suppressor. I will e-mail them about it. I wonder if TBA can re-thread the suppressor I have for a .308 thread?

I was hitting the gong well enough at 500 yards with it. With the rain I didn't do a good enough job grouping my shots. I will have to go out and try it again when I have better weather and more time and even use my chronograph.

As far as just sound, I think it made a big enough difference. I know for a fact my ears were ringing so loud after shooting that coyote a month ago. This is going to make it much more pleasant to use that rifle while hunting.

Oops, you are correct. AAC makes one for a 6.8SPC. Still, that is much closer to the correct size than 7.62. I put the AAC flash hider/QD mount on my grendel. I'd link a pic but I'm on my phone. It is in a thread on camo jobs, easy to find.

I hadn't heard of the silencer brand you mentioned. Do you have more info on it?

That is a good point. 6.8 might be a better choice. I e-mailed them either way.
