Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission will discuss whether or not to temporarily grant authority to CDFW to decide whether to delay, restrict, or suspend sport or recreational fishing in order to prevent and mitigate public health risks that may arise when people travel for fishing trips or congregate while participating in available fishing opportunities. CDFW and the Commission have received requests from county representatives and local health authorities requesting delays to recreational fish openers such as the Eastern Sierra trout opener scheduled for April 25, 2020.

Highly unlikely since they did not refund us on our unusable shortened season bobcat tags this year.

8:30 am on Thursday. Today is Wednesday. Hard to tell when every day feels like Sunday.

Well, in a month or so it will be time for me to load up the Jeep with camping supplies, tent, dogs and head to Wyoming for some fishing since it will take Eons for the State Bureaucrats to decide when to open up California.

I don't understand why people can't use the outdoors and still follow the guidelines. They have already closed a lot of off road trails. If a person wanted to hunt/fish/camp by themselves or with members of their household what is the problem. This is going too far.

It's because there's probably 100,000 other people thinking the same thing these days. And when you have an extra 100,000 people in the field, you have to plan for the crap that goes with it.
