Well that was a confusing way to get to that conclusion.

True. It depends on context and who you respond to.

I have a T3 lite and like that way it handles and feels very much for a $400 rifle. You can also try an Kimber Ascent. It's under 5#!! It's also $2k

Light rifles for REAL cost bucks. Look at Benelli shotguns. They’re done right. If you want light, the barrel needs to be light to balance and shoulder the rifle for accurate shots. Bergara and Christensen have done this right. No, I don’t own either. It’s just the facts and Tikka (BERETTA) have used a marketing ploy to tell you how good their rifles are. A Tikka action, is as smooth as a $400 Ruger American, which isn’t saying much.

Your better off with the light, cheap Ruger American rifle and it’s hollow stock.

You can try to justify your purchase but I’ll put the guns up side by side and tell you that you’ve been had. #factsmatter
Maybe the first model Tikka, but not the T3x. Different rifle altogether. I own both and they are very good rifles, but the T3x is fantastic. What makes a good rifle? It must be well made, fairly priced, be accurate and not heavy to carry. That's a T3x!

That Weatherby Mark IV is far above all others listed. Check it out. And its 100% made in Paso Robles and soon to be made in Wyoming.

Neato. Almost every gun owner disagrees with you. But you're right, as always. Why? Because you said so, of course.

                    You're showing your youthfullness again.

I am saying what im saying because i have 4 Tikkas on the wall that everyone complains about what i just said. I have them listed for sale at cost and no one wants them. When they hold a bergara or christensen they all say the same thing and buy those rifles.

As i stated, I don't own any of them. Its what the custsomers tell me.

I really miss my Tikka in .3006. I sold it to pay some bills. It was an excellent lightweight hunting rifle for the price. Maybe not the lightest, but its at least $1000 less than anything lighter.

I'm in the market for a lightweight hunting rifle again. I'll either get a Winchester XPR or a Tikka in .308. It has to have a detachable box magazine. The XPR has the same trigger as the M70, it has a smooth action and it comes in Vias camo for less than a Tikka at $400.

Winchester XPR Hunter Vias Rifle -The Winchester XPR Hunter Vias rifle comes in an attractive camo finish stock with an inflex technology recoil pad. This rifle is light weight and dependable.

Right, so when the question about hunting rifle recommendations comes up every day in internet forums and Facebook groups across the country, the majority of respondents, who overwhelmingly recommend Tikka, are only doing so in a massive conspiracy to **** with you.

Or, maybe they are all idiots.

Or a more likely scenario, you're just wrong, and they are in fact great rifles.

Ok you can be right and I have no problem being wrong. Tikka is indeed the best light weight economy rifle under $800

It would also win best in its class too albeit it’s the only one in its class

I just noticed you get your intel from Internet forums and Facebook. Aren’t you even mildly embarrassed for admitting that?

I doubt there's a rifle made that isn't "accurate enough" for hunting if you feed it right. Well maybe, if you're one of those few who feels ethical in taking 500+ yard shots.

You got me curious, so I went and weighed mine. Tikka T3 Lite chambered for 30-06, Leupold 3x9-40 VXII, Leupold rings, with sling, empty butt-stock ammo sleeve, and empty magazine.

7.242 pounds. Maybe I should consider a lighter sling?

Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

You really need to remember what you post and what you said about comparing tikka to RAR
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
