Well that was a confusing way to get to that conclusion.

It’s not snobbish. The Tikka loses weigh in their stock and not the barrel which creates an imbalance with weight while shouldering.
Light rifles for REAL cost bucks. Look at Benelli shotguns. They’re done right. If you want light, the barrel needs to be light to balance and shoulder the rifle for accurate shots. Bergara and Christensen have done this right. No, I don’t own either. It’s just the facts and Tikka (BERETTA) have used a marketing ploy to tell you how good their rifles are. A Tikka action, is as smooth as a $400 Ruger American, which isn’t saying much.
Your better off with the light, cheap Ruger American rifle and it’s hollow stock.
You can try to justify your purchase but I’ll put the guns up side by side and tell you that you’ve been had. #factsmatterComment

I am saying what im saying because i have 4 Tikkas on the wall that everyone complains about what i just said. I have them listed for sale at cost and no one wants them. When they hold a bergara or christensen they all say the same thing and buy those rifles.
As i stated, I don't own any of them. Its what the custsomers tell me.Comment

I really miss my Tikka in .3006. I sold it to pay some bills. It was an excellent lightweight hunting rifle for the price. Maybe not the lightest, but its at least $1000 less than anything lighter.
I'm in the market for a lightweight hunting rifle again. I'll either get a Winchester XPR or a Tikka in .308. It has to have a detachable box magazine. The XPR has the same trigger as the M70, it has a smooth action and it comes in Vias camo for less than a Tikka at $400.

Or, maybe they are all idiots.
Or a more likely scenario, you're just wrong, and they are in fact great rifles.Originally posted by rootuserThere are too many in this forum that do nothing. Right, so when the question about hunting rifle recommendations comes up every day in internet forums and Facebook groups across the country, the majority of respondents, who overwhelmingly recommend Tikka, are only doing so in a massive conspiracy to **** with you.

It would also win best in its class too albeit it’s the only one in its class
I just noticed you get your intel from Internet forums and Facebook. Aren’t you even mildly embarrassed for admitting that?Last edited by taperxz; 05-05-2018, 7:58 AM.Comment
