Next time I have a first-in-my-lifetime experience, I'll check with you to see if I'm doing it in an approved manner.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

I thought the same thing but was not going to say anything.

When I said you’ll be sorry one day, it was me lol

I dropped a buck like a sack of rocks when I was in my 20’s and ran up to the buck (60 yards) and left my rifle behind. Dead is dead right? Uhh no! Buck got up ran off and I never saw it again. Live and learn.

Remember one thing Big Fat Guy, that situation may never present itself again to you. Every shot has a nuance to it that makes you learn something new every time you go out.

Nothing wrong with guided hunts! Now, I am not a fan of canned hunts but to each his own

Looks like a fun trip congrats!! And if you think you suck at hiking at sea level wait till you do it at 10,000 feet lol. But dont ne too hard on yourself it's sometimes hard to keep up with a guy that hikes for a living. Any ideas what your next hunt will be?

I'm thinking tree squirrels and bunny rabbit. Our next guided hunt will likely be some form of deer.

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

That was one scenario. The more dangerous one is where the critter gets up and charges! Or it's mortally wounded but still has enough life left to kick you with a hoof (deer) and open you up from sternum to pelvis.

Shooting squirrels off sticks or a tripod is an excellent way to gain confidence.
