    Great Fishing

For anyone within an hour or so of Lake Eliizabeth. I just wanted to let everyone know that the catfishing is great up there. They are not big at all. Maybe between 1.5-3lbs or so. But they are abundant and fun to catch. We caught about 60 total last night and could have caught so many more but many got off. We were using worms on the bottom with a 14 inch leader and it worked great. They fight great as well they were very strong fish unlike most stocked trout. Let me know if you ever want to go fishing and I will try to meet you there on my way home from work. Also the crappies were a lot of fun as well. We were catching them on panther Martins and crappie jigs.

Yes it is near San francisquito rd. it is off of Elizabeth Lake rd. though.Went there last night and landed 8 Largemouths between 2.5-3Lbs. It was a blast. I only fished for about an hour or so. I caught them on a purple plastic worm. Texas rigged with a 1/4 ounce slider. Good Luck.

My dad took the kids out fishing over the weekend and caught between 40-50 Catfish total in only 2 hours. They missed a lot of them also. They are just using Nightcrawlers or Nightcrawler Gulp worms to slaughter them. They are only about 12-14inches in size but very meaty and tasty. o and catch them while the fishing is good.

Uh oh, this is gonna bring me to the lake now too!

Pro, have you gotten your bow fishing rig yet? If so, I wonder if the carp are up and about yet eh? I know I saw hundreds of them at the Sacramento River but, didnt have my gear.

I have not got my bow fishing gear yet because I have been getting a truck and setting up my new rifle but I will soon. I looked at the setups at bassPro on Saturday and might just make my own with my old zebco reels all I will have to do is get a couple of arrows.. I have not seen any carp in there before. I know there are tons of frogs though. I don't know if those types are edible since they are very slimy. If you want to meet there sometime let me know and I can meet you on my way home from work. I will show you where to park where you don't need an adventure pass.

It is truly a hidden gem. No one hardly ever goes there that I know of. Most people have never heard of it.

I did great. Caught well over 40 catfish in just a matter of about 2 hours or so. If anyone wants to go sometime this week let me know. I'll bring the beers.
