1st archery attempt, 1st archery kill. I may never go back to shotgun for turkeys.... what a thrill.

I used a BowTech Outlaw that I bought used off of CL, and Bass Pro Read Head carbon arrows with standard 3 blade broad-heads. My Nikon rangefinder put him at 34.5 yards. He didn't get 5 feet after he was hit, and was dead by the time I got to him. The arrow did some serious damage, and nearly severed a wing at the "shoulder".

Figure a Buffalo hunt will cost a minimum of $10,000 plus airfare, tips, and a trophy fee for any other animals that you shoot.
I was wondering that myself. I could never shoot an animal such as that, as they are majestic and I admire them. However, it is admirable that absolutely nothing is wasted between the scavengers and indigenous people. That is very responsible hunting indeed.

Not a steelhead, but a few decent rainbows to kick off spring.

My dad will be up next week so we will do a bit of fishing. Hoping for some bigger trout out of cascade with ice out. Heading to AK in the near future for work so hopefully I will have some good pics to add from that.

They were not gamey like a pacific black tail or wild pig. It was somewhat sweet and really rich in flavor. I will say it was an experience of a life time.
