Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

Yeah. I really hate it when my bullets hit the target, and immediately drop the game into the dirt. Wahhh

I have now taken 7 pigs with Barnes TSX (federal trophy 270 and Barnes cartridges I. 30 06. In three of those cases I recovered the bullet which was fully expanded like an evil honeysuckle flower. Six of those pigs were single shot. The smallest of the seven took a second bullet to finish off but was immobilized by first shot. So I can't complain about copper. The much lower risk of gulping down a dose of lead in my wild boar carnitas is also welcome.

The difference is the damage was cause by bone fragments not the bullet......the bullet expands fine did its job but you have to hit bone to make it work.

Same weekend another guy hit behind the shoulder and almost lost his pig after 200 yards of tracking a heart shot pin hole in and out and no blood luckily they followed the path in the grass and found him. After seeing my pig he now knows to hit bone. And that's my point hit bone or 3' of body mass to get the copper to work with you.......hell I like the bone crushing of copper I just don't take the same shots as I do with lead that's all and my point.....

And this pig came off Tejon

And flame away it's good to get these things in the open......I just feel lead has a bigger margin for error than copper but copper handles bone better than any bullet & lead is better on soft tissue like organs
One life so don't blow it......Always die with your boots on!

I shot a deer in the heart with a .30 cal Barnes bullet and there was no blood trail. The deer went about 40 yards through thick brush before it fell. The chest cavity was a big pool of blood but only a few drops left it.

here is a deer I shot in X9A in 09. I took him with a Barnes 130gr TSX. he wasn't that far in fact we saw him on the way to our hunting area.

here is a pic of the entrance wound on the chest

for some reason I cant find the picture of the chest cavity. the deer dropped like a rock when I hit him with it.

Love it or hate it it really does not matter one dam bit "copper" is what those of you that live in a copper only area are going to use if your going to stay on the legal side of the new law. Copper works and it's still all about shot placement with the proper bullet that's going to produce results, it always has been and it always will be anything else is simply denial of the facts. Flaming? by me? that's imaginary. Chris, in your posted picture the entry hole is in the chest under your thumb and about the size of between a quarter and a 50 cent piece? Did you hit a rib bone going in or between them? When I opened up the buck I shot last year the wound looked like someone took a 2 inch wide drill bit and drilled him clean through. He dropped like a rock right where he was standing so fast was it that I lost sight of him in the recoil. He was only about 60 or so yards and the 160 gr TTSX .338 Federal performed perfect. It was pretty cold -23 when I was gutting him or I would have tried to do a better autopsy on him, my hands kept freezing.
