Like my astronomy professor said, there are still Mayans around and they will tell you "when the calendar expires, it's time to buy a new calendar."

I do plan to take a week or 2 off of work and bunker down at my house. There are going to be crazy people running around thinking that they have nothing to live for.

It is a fact that thier Calender is astronomically correct and very advance for such an ancient civilization, and it's kinda crazy that they made this 3000 years ago, why end it on that specific date, if they can make it out to 3000 years why stop there, why not 4000, 5000, or even 2500. All yoose guys is missing the point. Astronomically accurate. Regardless of the gloom & doom crowd, the Earths alignment with other elements in our solar system within our galaxy, is a known occurence on a cycle that the Mayans themselves would never have seen. What is it, like every 26,000 years. PAX

I will be sitting at home watching t.v. and hopefully that will be as crazy as my december 21st gets. I admit though there is something a little extra "spooky" about this gloomy prediction. I believe that there will be people acting crazy right before the 21st, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I think they convinced the aliens that the entire mayan race can ride the mothership and not come back.
