Hmm actually... I don't think I learned anything from the Walking Dead yet...
except Gerber makes a cool apocalypse kit that's way too expensive.

Although it is a bit pricey you do save money buy buying it as the kit. If you were to buy each item separately it would be around 379.00 plus you would not have the carry case.

So far I've recorded the last two episodes and have experienced a good laugh at the hippies who did not want any firearms as part of their preps and would rather open a "dialoque" who ever invade their compound.

The "malfunction man" luckily did not wind up shooting his sons. At least he has a reminder now thanks to his "stub".

I picked and chose what I can use or learn from the show. I did however shown it a couple of co-workers and are interested to say the least in prepping.

So Practical Preppers are the experts that NatGeo is using in the 2012 Doomsday prepper series. If you recall the first episode last year, there was a ranch that had two families where one guy was military focused and the other was the Engineer. They collectively are Practical preppers, and are the "Experts" that Nat Geo is using.

Here is the episode that featured them - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SXeC...layer_embedded

Here is there consulting web site and the page covering their ties with the show - http://www.practicalpreppers.com/ABO...eographic.html

              Awesome at both sites!

I'm glad this was posted on youtube. Why you say, hopefully intelligent people realize its made for false drama and entertainment value only. After i dvr'd the first 2 episodes i considered it to be a total waste of my time not that i haven't learned something there like the water bob. Great idea btw didn't know they made that anyways after I seen the recent 2 episodes and basically recaps the same scenarios over again but in different ways. Overall i won't be watching it anymore total BS in my opinion.

what you see on tv is created for you to believe its real.

thanks for the Christopher link. That sounds about right with all the other stories we have been hearing. Funny how the TV Guy got upset when he would not say on camera that he would wonder around la as his primary reaction to an earthquake. And the experts saying you need more food without knowing how much he had lol.
